Message from Le Creuset customer service, confirming that the glaze contains cadmium      back

Dear [customer],

Be advised that flame has never been discontinued. Some stores may not have offered it because it may not be a color that sold well in there stores but it has always been available as a special order even if they did not carry it in stock. Even from the introduction of Le Creuset cadmium has only been used on the exterior glaze and never used internally. The products are still being made with the same compositions today.

Regards,

Hi, I see that Le Creuset is making the Flame (orange) color cast iron cookware again. I remember in the 1970's people said Le Creuset Flame used a radioactive glaze to make the orange color. Is that still true?
